Junior Development Program

Start them young!

Budding golfers between nine (9) and 18 years can improve their skills and have some fun on the fairways by being a part of the SGBC Junior Development Program.

Progress through the ranks of this four-stage program and graduate with some seriously professional skills.

STAGE 1: CADETS

Meet 10.30am on Sundays for a Coaching Clinic with professional golfers and a 9-hole game. Complete with handicaps and Cadet Competitions, Stage 1 covers all the basics and provides the perfect start to a lifelong love of the game.

STAGE 2: SUB-JUNIORS

Keep playing and honing your skills with the Cadets, but step it up to an 18-hole game once every month. Get a ‘buddy’ from the Junior program to guide you on your golfing journey.

STAGE 3: JUNIORS (12-17 years)

Get your official AGU Handicap and become eligible for competition events at any course. Take part in junior training days and play pennants, or as a team against other clubs in district and state events.

STAGE 4: JUNIOR REPRESENTATIVES

Progress to a professional skill level and have the opportunity to be selected for training with the Central Coast Academy of Sport. Compete in district teams and junior events far and wide and see how you rank against your peers. Scholarship and sponsorship opportunities await our top players.
