Hitting Fairway woods more solidly.
To improve your strike on fairway clubs place two tees in the ground about 1cm tall and wide enough to have a 1cm clearance either side of the clubhead. Placing the two tees in line with your left heel swing the fairway club trying to brush the grass between the two tees without hitting the two tees. Once you can accomplish this with reasonable consistency place a ball so the back of the ball is level with the two tees swing trying to brush the grass between the two tees again.
Skidding the club on the ground through the ball will encourage better launch angles whilst centering the ball on the face by being able to pass the club consistently through the two tees will improve contact. End result will be more consistent distance.
