Firstly, welcome to 2019.

The Moaners would like to wish all members a very happy new year and hope that Santa was good to you and all your families. Here’s hoping for another great year and some better golfing.

Just capping off Decembers winners , in which there was some very good scores posted over the whole month we had Shaun Brownlow winning the medal round with a nett 72.

Then on our Ham Day which had 120 starters and prizes all the way down to 96th, Damian McKenzie beat all comers with a very nice 41 points. This day was another roaring success which leads me to saying a massive thank you to my whole committee for all their hard work ensuring we have a great day. Santa arrived early for 38 moaners kids and grandkids with presents and lolly bags. There were some extra lolly bags so Santa decided to take a walk around the club and pass them all out to every child in the place, so many smiling kids faces. A big thanks to Steve Hetherington for the lollies also Warren and Jenny Wehrle for their help with Santa. We had a beautiful lunch from the restaurant and the course was again in tip top condition.

Garry Craig chimed in with a good win with 40 points on the 16th of the month with a wipe on the last. Gav Wilson won the day on the 23rd with a terrific 43 points and a wipe on the 6th hole.

Congratulations to the club for another great Carol’s by Schooner Light , it keeps getting bigger.

Again all the best for the festive season to all club members
